Classic Relaxing Swedish Massage

It’s the most common form of massage used by the western side. In this massage it teaches you all the basic massage strokes to perform a body massage. This massage helps in the activation of blood circulation, increases the lymphatic drainage systems, calms the nervous system, and helps in pain management, rehabilitation of injured muscles, increase flexibility, and helps in general relaxation of the whole body. Swedish massage doesn’t limit itself with basic strokes, but goes even more than that.

Traditional Thai Massage

As we can understand from its name, it is originated from Thailand. It’s an ancient type of massage practiced long ago in Thailand and even today it is widely practiced. Thai massage deals with lots of stretching, pressure points using different parts of the body as a working tool and stimulating your energy flow throughout your body. It gives a quick result after receiving the massage.

Traditional Foot Reflexology

The foot reflexology has its origins in different parts of the world like china, India Thailand, and Egypt. As in ancient scripture we could see how they imagine the whole body system on the sole of foot and through working on the feet they could unblock trap energy, energise the organs, relieve body pain.

Traditional Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is based on the ancient healing systems of Ayurveda. This massage has been practiced since a very long time and have proved its efficacy. Indian head massage deals with massaging the head, face, neck, and shoulders. It’s a place where most of our tension and stress are stored and expressed.

Traditional Ayurveda Massage

Ayurveda is the most ancient form of healing that was practiced in India. It is originated from the Veda’s which is a sacred book for the Hindu’s. Ayurveda have been traced to around 6000 BCE, when they were orally transmitted. Ayurveda massage form parts of Ayurveda medicines. This massage was done to balance the three temperaments in human body and to keep the body healthy in all possible ways.

There is payment facilities that TMS offer you to pay for your courses with less stress. The course fee covers all tuition, assessment and examination fees, T-shirt as uniform, together with your MQA Massage certificate issued at the end of the course.

Course Structure:

Our massage courses have been designed to prepare you for a career as a massage therapist/practitioner. As this massage course is a practitioner course, upon completion, you will be able to gain insurance and work as a massage therapist. Throughout the course you will develop a wide range of practical massage techniques; gain an in depth understanding of the anatomy, physiology for complementary therapies and further your knowledge of the principles and practice of complementary therapies. You will also cover the basic principles of setting up and running a small business.

Prerequisites:

Minimum English written, reading and spoken. As the course will be delivered mostly in English. Language will not be a barrier if you really want to learn, as there many ways to learn, visual, listening, reading and of course practice.

  • Principles and practice of Massage therapies
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology for Massage therapies
  • Provide body massage for complementary therapies
  • Knowing your work space.
  • Professional work ethics
  • Preparation to work in spa and wellness centres
  • Developing skills to be a spa therapist

Assessment:

Assessment for this massage course will be in three steps. Practical assessments of your ability to provide body massage for complementary therapies will also take place, culminating in an examination day at the end of the course. Your knowledge of anatomy, physiology for complementary therapies will be assessed through a written and oral examination. ​ You will also be required to complete a written examination on all subjects covered during your training.
